Ethiopian Dermatology and Venereology Society (EDVS) was established in 2005 E.C.and currently has 180 active members.
It was established with the vision of making dermatology care accessible to all Ethiopian population,
improving the quality of dermatology care, research and development as well as helping members to get better knowledge and skills through
continuous medical education by working in collaboration with partners.

Regular Members
Honarary Members
1.Regular members
It consists of founding members and members who have been approved by the general assemblys resolution in accordance with this by law.
Any Ethiopian who meets the following criteria can be a member:
- A person who believes in the aims and goals of the society and is over 15 years old
- Accepts and implements the bylaws of the society as well as accepts the rules of conduct adopted by the general assembly from time to time
- Able to pay contribution and fees that are regularly agreed upon by members of the general assembly
- Not deprived of his/her legal rights
2.Honorary members
- It consists of non-members of the society who strived to fulfill the societys objective, engaged in the sectors in which the society works, achieved success and are role models for change
- Individuals and organizations that have been highly accepted by the members of the societywill be honorary members by the decision of the general assembly
- Honorary members will not have the right to vote in the society
- Honorary members shall not be obliged to pay membership dues or other fees unless they voluntarily requested so on their own initiative
Rights of members
1. All regular members have equal rights
2. Societys membership is not transferable to heirs or anyone else
3. Every individual regular member has the right to:
- work on activities that align with the societys mission and vision
- to vote and request any information about the societys activities
- to attend the general assembly meeting, comment and vote for the societys activities
- to be heard by the executive board before a final decision is made to terminate his/her membership
